AMERICAN BRAWN SOLACE CENTER

Since launching our efforts in 2018 to raise awareness and
prevention of suicide among veterans and first responders,
we have spent lots of time out and about. We've hosted
concerts and tended booths at events attracting thousands
to get the word out about help that is available to
everyone regarding suicide, depression, and mental illness
through the Veterans Administration and other
resources.
American Brawn is now offering a facility in Grinnell, IA,
for Veterans and first responders to easily come to us,
offering possibly the easiest way to reach out. This safe
space, known as our Solace Center, is open Thursday
evenings from 6-8pm on the 3rd Floor of the Masonic Lodge
at 928 Main St. We warmly invite veterans and first
responders to visit weekly to ease their minds and feed
their souls with activities including art creation,
crafting, music playing/listening and reading to occupy
their thoughts with peace, joy and contentment.
Joining us, you'll at the very least enjoy yourself, while
some may tackle or prevent mental illness, PTSD,
depression, or suicide with the activities and
information/resources we have on hand.
