Solace Center

Since launching our efforts in 2018 to raise awareness and prevention of suicide among veterans and first responders through strong association with the V.A., we have hosted concerts and tended booths at events attracting thousands to get the word out of help that is available to everyone regarding suicide, depression, and mental illness.

American Brawn is now offering a facility in Grinnell, IA, for Veterans and first responders to come to us, offering possibly the easiest way to reach out. This safe space, known as our Solace Center, is open Thursday evenings from 6-8pm on the 3rd Floor of the Masonic Lodge at 928 Main St. We warmly invite veterans and first responders to visit weekly to ease their minds and free their souls with entertaining discussions and activities including art creation, music playing/listening and reading to occupy their thoughts with peace, joy and contentment.

Joining us, you’ll at the very least enjoy yourselves, while some may tackle or prevent mental illness, PTSD, depression, or suicide with the activities and information/resources we have on hand. With questions call or text Kent at (641)821-5134. We hope to see you soon.
